Display  your Tablet on your Notebook

Use Miraclecast on your Notebook and  MirrorShare on the Tablet

Follow the README.md instructions

Download and install (Ubuntu 18.10 here)

sudo apt-get install libudev-dev
sudo apt-get install libsystemd-dev
sudo apt-get install libreadline-dev
sudo apt-get install libglib2.0-dev

 

Build miraclecast

  1. Download and extract from Homepage  z.B tmp/miracast-master

  2. create build dir tmp/miracast-master/build

  3. cd tmp/miracast-master/build

  4. ../configure –enable-rely-udev

  5. make

  6. make install

 

Start Cast cast_start.sh

Networkmanager and Wifi Interface shutdown and start of miracast server and notebook as a sink

 

sudo systemctl stop NetworkManager.service

sudo systemctl stop wpa_supplicant.service

sudo miracle-wifid &

sudo miracle-sinkctl

#run 3

 

Start Cast cast_start.sh

sudo pkill miracle-sinkctl

sudo pkill miracle-wifid

 

sudo systemctl start NetworkManager.service

sudo systemctl start wpa_supplicant.service

 

 

Steps to use it as sink

  1. shutdown wpa_supplicant and NetworkManager

    $ systemctl stop NetworkManager.service

    $ systemctl stop wpa_supplicant.service

  2. launch wifi daemon

    $ sudo miracle-wifid &

  3. launch sink control (your network card will be detected. here 3)

    $ sudo miracle-sinkctl

    [ADD]  Link: 3

  4. run WiFi Display on link:

    > run 3

Troubles with Dell e7450 (solved)

 

>miracle-wifid --debug-level trace  

showed a message "ignored device";   

Miraclecast was unable to retriev the correct udev-tag (function udev_device_has_tag () not working)

solution: no conditional compilation, no checks, just

link_manage(l,true);
